Some commission art

I've been continuously practicing while doing commissions.  I'm grateful when I'm allowed to put a lot of time into them and really experiment!

The high level of detail on this one was fun to work with!
Did this one a while back.

the more recent stuff

ive found that i tend to enjoy a more painted stlye as of late

I dunno, i think its the freedom, not being bound by layers and linework.  Its pretty fun, tends to take more time, but feels less like work cause its not nearly as organized.

Playing catch up.

I have been needing to make a website for myself for quite some time.

I'm going to start off by simply updating with some of my more recent work.

A few years ago my friends convinced me to start going to Fanime, a local anime convention in San Jose to sell my art at the Artist's Ally.  This was the quality of my work around 2007/2008

The next year, a small company was made called The Pumpkin Betrayal, and work began on JollyGrim.  I was hired as one of the first artists.   I also did a lot of work on the animations and user interface as well as the card artwork.  The game is now free to try out.  Jollygrim.com

as I worked at the Pumpkin Betrayal, I also did some more fan art for Artist's Alley.

Over the years it has become more and more obvious that I tend to favor drawing women over men.

things don't always work out the way you want them to.  sometimes you just gotta make ends meet.  so there has been an extensive period were I have lived off commissioned work.

Tho I still tried to produce some quality stuff to sell, but they weren't finished in time.  I was so overwhelmed I couldnt make it that year.

Things got better, my life became more stable and I have taken the time I've had to try to progress and improve on my artistic abilities.
